James A Garfield National Historic Site

Collection SummaryThe collection includes the household furnishings and personal objects related to James A. Garfield, his wife Lucretia, and their family, c. 1870-c.1900. The collection is located in-situ within the Garfield House and within exibit cases in the Visitor Center (Carriage House). Almost all artifacts are owned by the Western Reserve Historical Society, on long-term loan to the National Park Service. The WRHS has other Garfield artifacts in their museum in Cleveland (access through their website).
