My name is Ryan Cramer. I was born in Crescent City and have lived there all 18 years of my life. I have been an explorer with the Fort Dick fire for about four years and one year as a fire fighter. I am currently working at Redwood National Park as a youth intern in the fire management program. I have learned many items about the wildland side of firefighting, such as the terminology, the use of the tools on the fire line, and the many ways you can get water to the fire whether it is through a fire truck, pump, or aircraft. I plan to pursue my career in firefighting for many years. I am currently attending College of the Siskiyous to pursue my degree in Fire Science. My intent this school year is to obtain my structural firefighter one certification and hopefully get picked back up in wildland firefighting.
