Four of our leadership and career development videos have been posted at the Lessons Learned website. Read all about it right here!
In this post, I talk about my trip to Fish and Wildlife Service's National Conservation Training Center and the Structural Fire Coordinator class I participated in.
When I first found out I was going to be working for the National Park Service, I had no idea what to expect. My mind ran between a million different scenarios all based on what little exposure I had to the NPS through various pop culture mediums. Yet, upon coming to Keweenaw National Historical Park, I found that none of those conclusions were correct, and that none of them were as great as this experience has turned out to be.
I discuss taking part in seasonal interpretive training during my trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. I learned much about the parks and the art of hands-on interpretive education.
In this entry, I talk about one of the trends I'm finding as I inventory fire protection systems and I introduce the historical structure that I will be doing some code based analysis on.
