GS-1603-6/7 Facility Services Assistant

Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites is recruiting for a facility services assistant. This is a permanent, subject-to-furlough position.  

The duty station of the position is Hyde Park, New York, which is located in the beautiful and historic Hudson River Valley.  Hyde Park is in Dutchess County, about 70 miles south of Albany and 100 miles north of New York City. The area is suburban with both rural and urban areas nearby.  The Catskill Mountains, Shawangunk Mountains, Mohonk Mountain, U. S. Military Academy at West Point, Culinary Institute of America and other historic and recreational areas are easy day trips from Hyde Park.

This position is being filled at the GS-6 or the GS-7 grade level. If filled at the GS-6 grade level, the person selected may be non-competitively promoted to the GS-7 grade level without further competition once all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
