National Fire/Incident Situation Highlights

National Fire Activity – Preparedness Level 3

NIFC is at PL 3. Initial attack continues to be light. Twenty-eight uncontained large fires are burning nationwide, down seven from Monday’s total.

Fire Weather Forecast

Dry and warm conditions will spread across the West. Surface high pressure will cover most of the East with cool and dry conditions. A cold front will push through the South, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Gulf Coast and Southeast coast states.
