Eileen Izzo will be retiring on December 28th with almost 35 years of federal service. She is currently an administrative support assistant with the construction program management division in Lakewood, Colorado.
Eileen began her federal government career in Gunnison, Colorado, where she worked for the U.S. Forest Service. She has also worked at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs and for the Fish and Wildlife Service in Lakewood.
Eileen came to the National Park Service in June 2004 when she joined Denver Service Center’s design and construction division and has been with the construction program management division since December 2005.
Eileen and her husband, Richard, who will be retiring at the end of this year as well, intend on remaining in the Lakewood area. They hope to enjoy time in the Colorado outdoors hiking, cross country skiing and biking. They would also love to visit several national parks they have not yet had the opportunity to explore. Eileen also plans to find a worthwhile charitable organization in which to volunteer a regular portion of her time.
