Jeff Shaffer has been selected as the new Chief of Contracting for the Southeast Region.

Shaffer has 15 years of federal and Department of Defense contracting experience. Shaffer has served the last 4 years as the Lead Contracting Officer for the Major Buying Acquisition Office North located at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Prior to the park service, he served as a Procurement Branch Manager and Lead Contracting Officer during a 4 year period with the Department of Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt in Parkersburg, WV.  Shaffer is retired Senior Master Sergeant where he served 21 years active duty with the United States Air Force.

Shaffer was born in Newark, Ohio and received a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in education from Eastern Illinois University.  He is relocating to Atlanta, GA with his wife Beth of 22 years, who was born in Champaign, Illinois.  They are the proud parents of two daughters:  Ashley, a freshman attending University of Tennessee and Lauren, a senior attending Pigeon Forge High School.
