Jeremy Ebersole was recently selected as the new communications coordinator for Northeast Region’s National Heritage Area program. Ebersole will be working closely with the NHA coordinator and with the 20 active National Heritage Areas to assist with general communications and developing and implementing a communications strategy

Ebersole’s planned tasks include developing web sites, social media, messaging, training, conferences, and workshops. His position is an outcome of the Northeast Region’s strategic plan, completed last year for the NHA program

Jeremy has most recently worked in the fields of library science and developmental disabilities. He has also interned with Disney’s Animal Kingdom, served his alma mater as an admissions counselor, and spent two years living abroad doing paid and volunteer work in animal rehabilitation, archaeology, marketing, and hospitality in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and New Zealand.

Jeremy's wide variety of experiences, including paid and volunteer work comes to the region through the Student Conservation Association and he will be working for NER through next July.

Jeremy has high hopes for his future work: “I had a great experience working with the SCA in the past and am interested in doing graduate work with historic structures and the built environment. I’m excited with the good things happening in National Heritage Areas”
