Retired Ranger Tobie Jackson Hospitalized

[Printer-friendly text version]

Arthur “Tobie” Jackson, retired Natchez Trace Parkway ranger, was hospitalized last July and underwent a bi-femoral bypass. This past November, he was readmitted due to complications from the bypass, and then readmitted once more in December, when doctors had to amputate his left leg above the knee and some of his right foot due to peripheral vascular disease.

Retired park ranger Johnny Sims (Blue Ridge Parkway, Natchez Trace, Martin Luther King) has asked that we let Tobie’s friends and colleagues know that has since survived six operations and is currently recuperating at the Baton Rouge General Hospital.

Johnny also reports that an account has been set up to offer support to Tobie and his family. For particulars on how you can contribute or otherwise assist Tobie, contact Johnny at 323-842-9503 or twobfreeinc@vahoo.com .
