GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PARKWAY

George Washington Memorial Parkway is recruiting for an engineering equipment operator. 

Duties include excavating, grading road surfaces, pulling ditches, cutting slopes and drainage ditches, and road shoulder maintenance. Uses scarifier to grade or cut hard surfaces such as gravel and concrete. Work performed on moderate terrain, steep slopes, elevated and sharp curves. Operates equipment with tilt blade in spreading soil and gravel; excavations, erosion repairs, constructing fire breaks with fire plow attachments. Operates end loaders to load from stock pile or pit, soil, rock, gravel, trash, etc. Drives and operates the five yard dump truck for the purpose of moving dirt, materials etc. Operates vehicles over 26,001 GVW; Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles, minor repairs and adjustments to equipment and attachments. Replaces chains, belts, cables, etc.
