The Office of the Associate Director, Information Resources, has announced the availability of http://secure.nps.gov to send and receive large or confidential files between NPS and external partners in a secure and managed environment.
This service replaces the previous Accellion-hosted solution provided by Denver Service Center. If you were a user of the previous service, please sign-up for a new account on http://secure.nps.gov.
Users wishing to start a new file transfer should access the new site – http://secure.nps.gov and self- register for a new account. Select the “I don’t have an account yet” link (below the login button) and follow the prompts to authenticate and create a password. You may upload and send files, or invite an external partner to register for an account and send files to you.
Files are automatically virus-checked, securely transmitted and stored, and optionally additionally encrypted. All transfers are logged. NPS and external partner accounts remain active for 60 days from last use.
New users will find the helpful “Getting Started” guide link on the front page. Should you need assistance or have any questions or suggestions, please email secure_file_transfer@nps.gov .
