EASTERN AREAS
Uniform Donations Sought As Part Of Hurricane Relief

[Printer-friendly text version]

As relief and recovery efforts continue at parks affected by Hurricane Sandy, an opportunity exists for NPS employees across the system to help their coworkers impacted by the storm.   Many employees lost uniforms in flooded residences or park offices, and the incident management team is assisting by soliciting donations of gently used uniform parts, as well as other needed items, to be distributed to affected employees.

The green and gray is an important part of our identity as National Park Service employees and wearing the uniform plays a significant role in helping impacted parks and employees resume their normal routine.

Uniform donations can be sent to: Incident Management Team, c/o: Employee Assistance, 120 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.

Questions or additional information can be addressed to the incident’s information office at 718-354-4666.
