Employees at Cuyahoga Valley National Park recently donated 510 pounds of food to the Cleveland Food Bank as a part of the "FEDS Feeds Families" program.

Superintendent Stan Austin launched this initiative during the FEDS Feeds Families campaign (June 1st through August 29th) at an all hands summer meeting on Thursday, August 2nd.

"It is very important to allow our employees the opportunity to give to those who have less and are struggling with securing basic needs,” he said. “We were very pleased with the response from our entire staff. Some of employees were so inspired that we are having a volunteer day at the Foodbank on Saturday, October 20th."

Cuyahoga Valley National Park will again participate in the FEDS Feeds Families in 2013.
