FORT STANWIX NATIONAL MONUMENT - NY
Park Joins With State To Manage Oriskany Battlefield
Through an agreement between the NPS and the State of New York, Fort Stanwix is managing two nearby Revolutionary War sites, including Oriskany Battlefield. Fights at both sites were critical to the Saratoga Campaign, itself a turning point in that war.

A man who stabbed another man in the abdomen in Crissy Field last May has pled guilty to assault with a deadly weapon and been sentenced to a long prison term.

Rangers Intervene In Attempted Suicide
Police in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, advised the park that a resident of that community was believed to be at the north end of the park and attempting suicide. Rangers found him, intervened, and got him to a local hospital, where he spent three days in intensive care.
