Appalachian National Scenic Trail
Volunteer

Do you enjoy the outdoors?  Bird watching?  Wildlife viewing?  Taking a hike?  There are many different ways you can enjoy the great outdoors along the Appalachian Trail!  There are 30 Appalachian Trail Clubs along the 2,175-mile trail that need your help preserving and maintaining this unique corridor!

While the trail is a unit of the National Park Service, it is maintained by a very large volunteer force which includes people just like you!  The Appalachian Trail Conservancy, a non-profit entity, is the primary umbrella organization for volunteerism.  Volunteer to discover contacts in your area who will help get you involved!  Welcome and enjoy the journey!
