Appomattox Court House National Historical Park Hosts Annual Christmas Open House
Appomattox Court House National Historical Park will host their annual Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The historic village will be decorated by the Appomattox Garden Club following traditional customs using native evergreens, holly berries, magnolia leaves, dried flowers, and colorful ribbons. A lighted candle will be placed in every village window adding a warm glow to the festive scene.
The public is invited to attend free of charge and hot beverages and cookies will be served in the Courthouse Visitor Center.
Appomattox Court House National Historical Park is located on Virginia Route 24, three miles north of the town of Appomattox.
