133rd Anniversary Programs
Appomattox Court House National Historical Park is offering a weekend of informative and educational programs on the events connected with the surrender of General Lee's Army. The Park was established by Congress in 1940 to commemorate the surrender of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia under General Robert E. Lee to Lt. General Ulysses S. Grant on April 9, 1865 and to honor those men who participated.
* The Park is located on Virginia Route 24 two miles north of
Appomattox, Virginia.
