East Woods reforestation planting will begin on the weekend of March 14 and extend to the first week in May. Planting days will be Tuesdays through Saturdays only. No planting will take place on Sundays or Mondays. Please call either Joe Calzarette or Lindsey Donaldson at (301) 432-2243 to schedule your planting day.

Everyone is welcome, just be prepared to let us know the size of the group that will be helping to plant. You only need to bring your own work gloves, all other materials will be provided.

Did You Know?
Over 500 cannons particpated in the Battle of Antietam, firing over 50,000 rounds of ammunition. The cannonade was so severe that Confederate artillery commander Colonel S.D. Lee described the battle as "artillery hell."
