Choir to Perform at Antietam

Antietam National Battlefield announced today that the Alaska Children’s Choir will perform at the Dunker Church on Thursday July, 2nd at 11:00 AM. The concert is free and open to the public.

 

The Alaska Children’s Choir was founded in 1979 and is dedicated to excellence in music education and choral singing, offering some 100 South-central Alaskan children the opportunity to train and perform at some of the highest artistic standards locally, nationally and internationally. Membership ranges in age from 5 to 18 years.

 

The concert at Dunker Church is a part of the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial Tour titled “Voices of Hope and Peace”; other locations where the choir will perform include Washington DC, Annapolis and Gettysburg.
