Prison to Peanuts: Park to Park Bicycle Adventure
Mark National Park Week by riding between Andersonville National Historic Site and Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in southwest Georgia.
On the last Saturday of April, join the River Valley Regional Commission, Andersonville National Historic Site, Jimmy Carter National Historic Site and Sumter Cycling Inc., in the Prison to Peanuts Bicycle Adventure.
We are encourage riders of all levels and skills to join us on this amazing opportunity to visit beautiful sites in Sumter County and visit Andersonville, Americus and Plains, Georgia by bicycle. This is a family friendly event. All participants are required to wear a helmet. The ride will be have a support vehicle for basic mechanical issues and first aid needs.

Did You Know?
When rations were issued, the wagon would enter through the North Gate in the morning. In the evening, the wagon would then take the deceased prisoners from the South Gate and Hospital to the Dead House and eventually to the cemetery.
