Three refuges in Alaska offer overnight adventures in public use cabins.

Cabins on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge just south of Anchorage are available all year. Eleven cabins are reservable by phone or in person 180 days in advance. Two cabins are available on a first-come/first-served basis.

Cabins on the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge are available by lottery only and are only accessible by boat or float plane. Drawings occur the first business day of January, April, July, and October for dates requested beginning three months later. more...

Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge has three cabins reservable by phone, mail, or in person 120 days in advance. The cabins are only accessible by boat or floatplane.
