RESERVATIONS/COST: Cabin use is by reservation only. A special recreation permit is required in advance. Permits are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations will be awarded before January 2 of the year in which you want the permit.
Reservations are accepted by phone, mail or in person at the Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center. Information and reservations may be obtained by calling (907) 644-3664. Cabin fees are currently $50/cabin/night. A permit day goes from noon on the assigned day and ends at noon on the next. Individuals in the same party may not make sequential applications in an effort to exceed these limits.
Because of high demand, use of Holgate and Aialik cabins is limited to a maximum of three consecutive nights in one year. The remoteness of North Arm cabin, coupled with the expense of access, allows extended stays up to a maximum of nine nights within a calendar year.
