The park and surrounding state game lands provide good habitat for many common eastern mammal species including white-tailed deer, skunk, opossum, red fox, raccoon, squirrels, black bear, eastern cottontail, voles and mice. While visiting the park, you will probably see browsing groundhogs and should be alert for deer fawns crossing the roads. And if you're lucky, you may just get a glimpse of an elusive weasel!
