into the Past and Future
of Bering Land Bridge National Preserve:

Final Activity

This final activity is designed as a general assessment. It provides an opportunity for the students to present a personalized account of a subject that was covered in the activity guide. It is designed to let the students choose a topic and use language arts and artistic skills to create a poster for others learn from and enjoy.

Materials: Paper, pencil, poster board or large paper , modeling clay, markers or colored pencils.

Procedure

  1. Ask the students to choose a subject from the activity guide that has been discussed in the classroom. It should be something that is of interest to the student. If they can't choose one, they can be assigned a topic.

  2. Assign a short report on the subject including why they chose the subject they did and the significance to the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve and to their own life.

  3. The students, if they wish to, can then make a model representing their subject out of model magic or clay.

  4. Next the students will make a poster for a visual aid of their subject. When completed, these can be displayed around the school with the posters for everyone to enjoy.
