Bob
Marshall (1901-1939), principal founder of the Wilderness Society,
millionaire, socialist and a Ph.D. in forestry, traveled several times to
Wiseman, Alaska, in the Central Brooks Range. His joy, his writings and his
experiences, influenced today's philosophy and policy on wilderness designation
and management.
