Sinking Spring

Sinking Spring, this was the water source for the farm Thomas Lincoln brought in the fall of 1808. Abraham Lincoln was born on the Sinking Spring February 12, 1809.

Symbolic Birth Cabin

This old log cabin was once thought to be the birth cabin of Abraham Lincoln. The Memorial Building was constructed between 1907 and 1911 to preserve and protect the cabin forever.

Visitor Center

The Visitor Center was completed in 1959 and was part of the Mission 66 Program. The Center has been remodeled and expanded over the years.
