Sites checked out the Command car out so five of us could tour part of the island shortly after the end of the war. Befus was pilot, Stobbs copilot, and Sites, Gaugler and Speak were back seat drivers. The road had actually crossed the stream a short distance up stream but it was rough, so we all decided to ignor the old adage that still water runs deep. This ended our tour for that day. Befus bailed out and was the only one to get wet. The rest of us tucked our feet up and we were able to jump to shore. A truck load of soldiers were following us and had a good laugh at our expense but gave us a ride back to Casco Cove. From left to right: Betus, Stobbs, Speakmon, Sites.
