Naturalization Day

The park's biggest event of the year, Naturalization Day sees new citizens sworn at a very special ceremony. Usually held on Consitution Day (September 17), this is one of only a few such ceremonies held outside of a federal courtroom.

George Washington Visits Snee Farm

President George Washington visited Snee Farm during his southern tour in 1791. The President stopped for breakfast at Pinckney's plantation before arriving at Charleston to meet with Governor Pinckney and other dignitaries. Here volunteers are dressed in period costume for an interpretive program on Washington's visit.
