  • Outdoor Memorial Closure

    Starting November 1, 2014 through March 2, 2015 the African Burial Ground National Monument's outdoor memorial will be closed for the winter season. The indoor visitor center will remain open daily through the winter Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.


The multimedia section of the website shares interesting aspects of the park with you through audio and video presentations.

"Westward Bound," a unique multimedia presentation conducted at our visitor center concluded in January; The complementary website can be found at the following link. The second part of this exhibition, which will debut in early March and focuses on sacred body art from the Omo culture of Africa can be previewed online at the following link.
