Junior Ranger Motto: Explore, Learn, Protect

The National Park Foundation supports the National Park Service by raising private funds, making grants, and increasing public awareness. Programs funded in the youth engagement area allow kids to explore the national parks with their families and with their classrooms, and to learn about Junior Rangers, WebRangers, and the Electronic Field Trip Program.

Shenandoah National Park’s scenic highway, Skyline Drive, winds through a tunnel of trees in all their fall color glory.

Did You Know?
Skyline Drive, the only public road through Shenandoah National Park, rides the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains for 105 miles through the park, then joins the Blue Ridge Parkway which connects Shenandoah to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, NC.
