Entrance Fees

All visitors who enter Acadia National Park between May 1 and October 31 are required to pay an entrance fee, no matter how they enter or where they go in the park. Entrance fees may be paid in the following locations:
- Entrance Station (north of Sand Beach on the Park Loop Road)
- Hulls Cove Visitor Center
- Park Headquarters
- Blackwoods and Seawall Campgrounds
- Thompson Island Information Center
- Bar Harbor Village Green
There are a number of different options for paying your entrance fee: Check out the Acadia National Park passes and the national passes listed below. Educational fee waivers may be available to groups that meet specified criteria.
Eighty percent of all fees paid in the park stay in the park to be used for projects that directly benefit park visitors and resources. We thank you for your support!

ACADIA NATIONAL PARK PASSES
Entrance Pass - $20 June 23-early October; $10 May 1-June 22 and early October-October 31
Good for entrance into Acadia National Park for one vehicle for seven days, including the date of purchase.
Individual Entrance Pass - $5
Good for entrance into Acadia National Park for one individual (pedestrian, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.) for seven days, including date of purchase.
Acadia Annual Pass - $40
Good for entrance into Acadia National Park for one vehicle for one year from date of purchase.

NATIONAL PASSES: America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Program
Beginning in January 2007, the National Park Service will join the USDA Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation in the new Interagency Pass Program. This program provides pass holders access into any federal recreation site—including Acadia—that charges an entrance or standard amenity fee; some passes also offer discounts on other fees, such as camping. Each pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder plus three adults, not to exceed four adults, at per person fee areas. (Children under 16 are admitted free.)

Annual Pass - $80
This pass is available to the general public and provides access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an entrance or standard amenity fee for a year, beginning from the date of sale.

| America the Beautiful Senior Pass |

Senior Pass - $10
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides lifetime access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an entrance or standard amenity fee. The Senior Pass also provides a 50% discount on some fees charged for facilities and services such as camping. The pass is non-transferable and generally does not cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires.

Access Pass - free

The Access Pass also provides a 50% discount on some fees charged for facilities and services such as camping. The pass is non-transferable and generally does not cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires.

Volunteer Pass - free (service requirement)
This pass is for volunteers acquiring 500 service hours on a cumulative basis. The pass provides access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an entrance or standard amenity fee for a year, beginning from the date of award. Did You Know?
