Cultural Connections programs rescheduled for 7/16/2014 due to weather
Ash Log Pounding demo will take place today 11 am-3 pm at the Abbe Museum downtown (26 Mount Desert St, Bar Harbor). The Burnurwurbskek Singers have been rescheduled to perform on Cadillac Summit next Wed, July 23 at 11 am.
Acadia Quest: Uniquely Acadia Edition Offers a Fun Way to Explore the Park

The Quest is on! Friends of Acadia and Acadia National Park invite kids and their families to explore Acadia together than through the fun and varied challenges of the Acadia Quest: Uniquely Acadia Edition. In the 2014 version of the Quest, teams will "collect" experiences on Acadia's trails, carriage roads, water bodies, and unique destinations to complete the Quest. Some new surprises are in store for veteran Questers, and challenges for all ages and ability levels.
Did You Know?
Acadia National Park's carriage road system, built by John D. Rockefeller Jr., has been called “the finest example of broken stone roads designed for horse-drawn vehicles still extant in America.” Today, you can hike or bike 45 miles of these scenic carriage roads in the park.
