The National Park Service has developed the curriculum-based Passamaquoddy Kit and the Saint Croix 1604 Interpretive Trunk for use with fifth through eighth grade students.
The award-winning Passamaquoddy Kit was developed by staff at Acadia National Park in partnership with the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine. This kit uses student-centered activities and tactile elements to explore Passamaquoddy culture and history. To build a Passamaquoddy Kit of your own, you can download the kit's contents from this website. The kit is also available to schools for loan though the following sites:

The Saint Croix 1604 Interpretive Trunk is designed to increase awareness and knowledge of Saint Croix Island and its history as a 1604 French settlement. The trunk contains resources for educators to use in a classroom environment, integrating written and oral activities, role playing, and independent research. Content includes a bilingual teacher's guide, maps, books, video, CD, historical reproductions, and more. The materials can be integrated into history, social studies, and language arts curriculum.
