NPS Breaks Ground for Facility Improvements at Knob Creek

On October 25, the National Park Service will break ground on a new era at Knob Creek, the Boyhood Home Unit of Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park.  The event will mark the beginning of restoration and facilities improvements on the parkland where Lincoln lived as a young boy.

"This is an event has been many years and many partners in the making," said park Superintendent Bill Justice.  "I invite everyone to come and be a part of this historic as we take a step forward in protecting and preserving the structures at Knob Creek."

The groundbreaking is open to the public and scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time.  There will  be no public parking at the Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek.  Shuttle service to Knob Creek from the LaRue County High School will be available beginning at 11:00 a.m.
