Come celebrate Frederick Douglass's 195 Birthday! Explore Douglass's Civil War, we will have music from the period, reenactors demonstrating a soldier's life and weapons, activities for kids, and lectures on African American soldiers in the Civil War. And there has to be birthday cake!

Opening Ceremony 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Union Temple Baptist Church (1225 W ST SE, two blocks from the Douglass house) at the Frederick Main Programs 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (1411 W ST SE, Washington, D.C.).
Free and open to the public, no tickets required.
