PENNSYLVANIA

Pets are not permitted at the following sites:

at Smithfield Beach PA and Milford Beach PA, except in off season (See McDade Trail, below) When permitted, pets are permitted on paved areas only. Pets may not remain at or swim at these beaches.
the trails at Raymondskill Falls PA, Dingmans Falls PA or Hackers Falls PA
• Childs Recreation Site PA
(Childs Park)
• Valley View Group Campsites PA
• Hidden Lake PA
• Hialeah Picnic Area PA
McDade Trail  from a point 1/4 miles north of the boat launch at the north end of Smithfield Beach, to the first footbridge south of the canoe launch at the south end of Smithfield Beach, from June 1 to September 8 yearly. At other times of the year, pets may pass through Smithfield Beach.

NEW JERSEY

Pets are not permitted at the following sites:

• Rivers Bend Group Campsites
• Watergate Recreation Site
• Kittatinny Point (picnic areas and visitor center area)

 

Service Animals

Service animals for persons with disabilities, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations 28CFR36.104 are not regulated as pets. National Park Service regulations exempt service animals such as guide dogs for the blind and signal dogs for the hearing-impaired from prohibitions on pets.

 

Hunting Dogs

Certain regulations apply to the training and use of hunting dogs. Please see the park's bulletin on Hunting. (pdf)

 

Other Pet Regulations
Pets must be on a 6-foot leash and attended at all times.

You may not leave a pet tied up or in a vehicle.
Please clean up after your pet.

You shouldn't lose you pet, but if you do, contact Park Dispatch at (570) 426-2435.
