Viewing Model Airplanes

Two local clubs fly their radio-controlled model aircraft in the park. Visitors are welcome to stop by and watch the action.

Roxbury Area Model Airplane Club (RAMAC)
This club flies at Hialeah Air Park, on River Road just north of Smithfield Beach. There is a signat the entrance; the parking lot is below the road grade. Please signal and turn with caution.

Flying Hawks Club (E-mail)
This club uses the Flying Hawks Airfield, just north of milepost 19 on Route 209 near Milford PA. The entrance is an unmarked dirt road. Please signal and turn with caution. If a cable is across the road, the Hawks ar not flying that day.

Did You Know?
... that Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is home to hundreds of black bears. The bears are usually peaceful, but they are still large, wild animals that can maul a person. Don't approach or annoy bears! Don't let your dog chase a mother bear or her cubs! NEVER FEED A BEAR!
