The Aleutian Islands World War II National Historic Area is located primarily on Unalaska & Amaknak Islands. There is plenty to explore in this incredible historic landscape. The Aleutian Islands World War II National Historic Area is limited to Unalaska and Amaknak Islands, but there is plenty more to see on the other Aleutian Islands. Remember that many of the locations listed below are remote and may require special transportation to access. Prepare for your trip properly and be aware of safety concerns before you go.
